Poems By Me

I had a dream last night
We were walking hand in hand
But my dream turned into a nightmare
When Time’s hourglass ran out of sand.

Do you think we could live in unity
Instead of acting with irresponsible lunacy?

A Poem: Character and Reputation
Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it and the tree is hard to swallow.

Because it is reality and what is really inside of me.

And kinda like the tree's roots, there is water on my boots from walking in the flood of hypocrites and goofs. Trying to realize there's no fairy God mother that says "bibity bopity boop".

So let's have NOH8. I mean that's great, if words really did speak louder than actions! But the accidents we let happen in our everyday lives only pronounce everyones bad energy in our eyes.

How about we all just get along, right? Next time you disagree don't put up a fight. But wait, I thought we all have the right to say whatever we want!

But knowledge speaks and wisdom listens... Shhh

Hear that?

Your inter-cranial telephone is ringing and it's your great great great grandmother is calling.

She says... "Shush up hunny! How can you hear the bees buzz when all you're focused on is their honey?"

Don't just judge a book by it's back cover, flip through the pages and judge it by what you discover.

Don't be looking for a perfect end but perfect your skills of trying and then the end won't matter...

Because the character you build is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it... The tree is the real!

Between the Pages of Me

I am a poet.
It makes me feel free.
More relaxed than I have been.

Few and far apart, though.
That’s classic.
Predictable.

I am going to
Be who I am.

Like all women,
Sitting their sadness on an elbow,
It’s like another side of me.

I am ignorant.
That’s a great step.
A beginnings end.

I am going to
Be who I am.

I’m never right,
That’s never wrong.
I surprise myself.

My fight for,
I don’t know,
What’s right?

I am going to
Be who I am.

A gust of wind,
I guess I’ll say,
Will come.

And I feel
-falling-
It’s a good thing.

I am going to
Be who I am.

Free
My nickname is jazz,
I sit my sadness on an elbow.

He doesn’t like it,
But I am a poet.
Waves of emotion,
Some other beginnings end.
My fight for him,

It’s never wrong.
Classic, predictable,
I don’t want to let go.
It’s like a free game,
But he doesn’t let go.

He takes two,
He always will.
This good enough?
Only me?
I’m cold and alone,
conscious that you are ignorant.
Speak the truth,

It’s never wrong.
Classic, predictable.
I don’t want to let it go.
It’s like a free game,
And I will never let it go.

My nickname is jazz,
I sit my sadness on an elbow.
